May is the month dedicated to Mary because it is "the season of new life." The trees are in bloom and things start growing. It is also the season that best represents motherhood. It celebrates motherhood because spring is about new life.

The May is the particular month of Mary because of the time and weather. All the trees bloom and come to life as you can see young hatchlings are born. Similarly, the birth of Jesus brought us all new life with God and opened us a new path and without Mary this day would have never came. It was also a tradition started by Pope Leo XIII as a motherhood celebration.

I think may is the month of Mary because all of the beautiful flowers would bloom into life along with other plants/animals. Flowers remind me of Mary by the beauty and love she gives others along with how she is the mother of the son of God.
